North Shore  MA

Rick is a lifelong sailor and lover of anything on the water. Rick and his partner Amy VanDoren are supporters and involved with the City of Salem resiliency program. He is a volunteer captain for Sail Beyond Cancer North Shore, as well as President of Sail Salem Community Sailing. Rick is also a referee and Salem’s Ambassador for the US Pickleball Association.  He recently retired from Mass General where he was a neurology nurse and managed the marketing for the orthopedics department. Before that, he had a career in marketing and strategic planning in Boston and New York. He’s originally from Vermont where he learned how to paddle and sail on Lake Champlain.

Sang is a Thermal Systems Engineer at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, a member of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, designing NASA funded space-borne telescopes. He lives in Swampscott enjoying his life on and near the water. He is an avid sailor, accomplished skier, and a dad always motivating his two daughters to be active and creative. He also creates amazing meals for the family, dear friends, and a very special person in his life.

Sang is actively involved and has contributed to many other community services as a tireless volunteer for most of his life.
