Sail Beyond Cancer USA is honored to welcome Pam Goetz to our National Board of Directors.

Pam has dedicated her career to improving the lives of people facing cancer—not only during treatment, but throughout the survivorship journey. After more than a decade as Survivorship Program Manager at Sibley Memorial Hospital, part of Johns Hopkins Medicine, she recently retired from one of the region's most respected cancer survivorship programs.

Her experience extends well beyond a single hospital. Prior to Sibley, Pam directed survivorship programs for the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS), helping develop national educational resources for cancer survivors through CDC-funded initiatives. Throughout her career, she has become a nationally recognized leader in oncology navigation, publishing extensively and serving on leadership councils that have helped shape cancer survivorship programs across the country.

What makes Pam's appointment especially meaningful is that her passion is deeply personal. Cancer has touched her own family, giving her firsthand insight into the emotional and practical challenges patients and caregivers face every day. That perspective has guided her life's work and aligns beautifully with Sail Beyond Cancer's belief that healing extends beyond medicine.

Pam joins our Board at an exciting time in Sail Beyond Cancer USA's growth. She will help strengthen our mission by developing volunteer education that prepares crews to better support cancer patients and their loved ones during their time on the water. She will also lead the development of our national pre- and post-sail survey program, allowing us to better understand—and demonstrate—the profound impact our respite sails have on those we serve.

As Sail Beyond Cancer expands across the country, Pam's leadership will help ensure our programs continue to be grounded in compassion, best practices, and meaningful outcomes. Her expertise will benefit every chapter, every volunteer, and most importantly, every family who steps aboard one of our vessels.

We are thrilled to welcome Pam to the Sail Beyond Cancer family and look forward to the extraordinary impact her leadership will have as we continue bringing hope, healing, and respite to those facing cancer—one sail at a time.
