About Sail Beyond Cancer USA
Sail Beyond Cancer honors those being challenged by cancer by harnessing the healing powers of wind, water, and sail. We take anyone in treatment for any type of cancer, of any age, out on a free, private, three-hour sail with up to five of their loved ones. Once we leave the dock, the engine goes off and the helm goes to the nominee, giving patients and caregivers a few precious hours to leave cancer ashore.
Quick Facts
Founded in 2014 by Executive Director Suzanne Snyder after her own cancer diagnosis.
Every mission sail is completely free for nominees and their loved ones.
Chapters in Annapolis, MD; Burlington, VT; North Shore (Salem), MA; Gloucester Point, VA; and Newport, RI.
Anyone can nominate someone for a sail, and people with cancer can nominate themselves.
Memorial sails honor loved ones lost to cancer.
